WHAT: Interfaith candlelight vigil in support of marriage equality and LGBT rights

WHEN: Monday November 2, 2009
gathering from 6:30 - 7:00 pm
running until about 8:00 pm

WHERE: Memorial Park in Claremont (on Indian Hill Blvd; between 8th & 10th St)

WHY:

To mark the passage of one year of repressive marriage restrictions
imposed by Prop 8

To honor and respect the committed relationships that continue to flourish
despite determined efforts of the misguided

To give hope to those that yearn for a full and dignified presence in society
with the legal rights all are entitled to

To stand in solidarity with our fellow seekers of truth and justice
who are facing their own trial at the polls in the states of Maine and Washington

To stand in celebration of the power of love
that gives us faith and enriches us
